CHARACTER INFO
• Character Name: Wynonna Earp
• Character Age: 27.
• Character Canon: Wynonna Earp.
• Canon Point: Constant Craving (1.07)
• Character History: Wiki. (spoilers within)
• Character Personality:
— Positive Trait: Loyal. Haunted and tormented by the deaths of her father and older sister, Wynonna has a strong connection to what's left of her family – her baby sister, Waverly. It's revealed later in the show that she'd even visited her mother in the asylum on a semi-regular basis, and when Willa returns, Wynonna's determination to keep her ragged little family together almost destroys them all. But aside from her blood relations, she's also fiercely loyal to her allies and friends. When Dolls is taken by Black Badge, she storms a facility to get him back. The flip side of her loyalty is her fury at anything she sees as betrayal. She cuts Doc as far out of her life as she can when he betrays her, and she carries a chip on her shoulder about it for most of the rest of the series.
— Positive Trait: Adaptable. After spending the larger part of her teen and adult life traveling the world alone only to be forced into work with Black Badge, Wynonna's learned to roll with the punches. She doesn't waste a lot of time on shock and surprise; she'd rather get straight to the punching. She's thrown into all kinds of situations in canon, from horrible to silly, and she manages to adapt to all of them. At the same time, she's resistant to change; she likes the little family and slice of happiness she and hers have cut out and she'll fight tooth and nail to defend it... or dig in her heels to keep it from changing.
— Positive Trait: Independent. Perhaps to a fault. Wynonna has been on her own for almost a decade, with minimal connection between her and her family back home in Purgatory. Even before then, she was independent by necessity, due to her status as town pariah. She had only one friend in Mercedes, and mostly considers herself a team of one. She's slowly coming to terms with the idea of having partners and teammates, but at the end of the day, she's sure it's a passing thing and she'll soon be alone again.
— Positive Trait: Tenacious. When Wynonna bites into something, she locks her jaw and doesn't let go, even if it means a broken jaw for her at the end of the day. Stubborn as a mule, she often disagrees just to be childish, or refuses to listen to advice and does whatever she wants anyway. But this trait also goes along with the others, fueling her loyalty, her adaptability, and her independence. She'd be the first to say she's still alive because she's just too damn stubborn to lay down and die.
— Negative Trait: Book dumb. She was a D student, if that, and she generally doesn't get involved in the deeper research side of Black Badge's work. Latin, history, old relics – those are all Waverly's domain, not hers. On the other hand, she's quick-witted and intelligent and able to think on her feet. She's excellent at working out puzzles – especially the deadly kind – and she's a keen observer of other people. She can often glean someone's real intent from their expression and body language, and she's not nearly as dumb as her high school teachers would say.
— Negative Trait: Alcoholic. According to Wynonna, this is a pre-requisite to being the Heir. She's (mostly) a functional alcoholic, but she drinks like a fish and makes wildly bad decisions while doing so. (See: sleeping with a demon.)
— Negative Trait: Emotionally unstable. Chill as she pretends to be, Wynonna is in fact deeply vulnerable and far from in control of her emotions. She tends to (not) deal with this by being a wild child: drinking, fighting, and fucking her way out of whatever unpleasant emotion she doesn't want to face. If none of that works, she's been known to just run the hell away and not look back. Sorry, Doc and Dolls.
— Negative Trait: Cursed AF. The original show bible notes, regarding Wynonna: "Above all, she is cursed." Wynonna can't catch a break, no matter what. Whether that's from the Earp Curse or just something in the universe deciding fuck this one chick in particular, things just never seem to turn out right for Wynonna.
• Character Skills:
• Marksmanship. She learned how to shoot from the greatest gunslinger the West had ever seen: John Henry "Doc" Holliday.
• Physical Combat. She's new to anything but brawling, but she's been getting one on one lessons with an ex-Marine. She's more than capable of holding her own in a fight.
• Woodcraft. Growing up in the Ghost River Triangle, Wynonna is comfortable navigating the woods and can generally find her way around.
• Survival Skills. A little basic, but she knows how to start a fire, how to bind up a wound, how to hunt, and how to lay traps.
• Investigation. She's learning how to dissect a crime scene to find clues and evidence.
• Hunting. Mostly she hunts revenants, not animals, but she has the basics down.
• Character Inventory:
— ITEM ONE: Peacemaker (modified Colt Buntline Special)
— ITEM TWO: Box of Colt .45 ammo, partly used (84 rounds)
— ITEM THREE: Photo of seven figures, with an eighth strung up on a crossbar. Six of their faces are crossed out with a red marker.
• Important Notes:
Peacemaker is not an ordinary gun, but in the world of Singillatim there's no reason why it couldn't function as a perfectly normal, if old, Colt Buntline Special. She'll miss the fiery portals opening up to suck her enemies into Hell, but what can you do?
